Birding in Haines & Chilkat Valley

Haines provides road-accessible birding along the Chilkat River system and the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. Large Bald Eagle concentrations occur in late fall and early winter, while the preserve also supports salmon, waterfowl, and other wildlife.
